Frequently Asked Questions.
Don't Know What Size Truck You Need?
We can usually advise you over the phone and if you have
no idea we will visit you and
provide an obligation free quote. The
more accurate you are providing a detailed description
of your rubbish
job, including site conditions, parking facilities, types of rubbish at
the site,
etc, etc, the more accurate our verbal estimate for the work
will be.
"I Only Have A Ute Load Of Rubbish"
We don t do "Ute Loads" of rubbish. Our trucks are 4 -
15 Cubic Metres and carry between
3 and 7 Tonnes per load. Prices are
charged per Cubic Metre or per Tonne and we factor in
other costs such
as, how far to the point of tipping, how far from CBD and how long to
load
the vehicle, eg. Is it on the ninth floor, is it round the back,
do we need several labourers etc,
etc. The more accurate you are in
describing your job to us, the more accurate our phone
estimatewill
be.
We do small jobs but priced on the scope of the work, not by the Ute Load..
"Do You Have Skip Bins"?
No we have tip trucks & some tipping trailers.
"Do You Provide Wheelie Bins & Do Regular Garbage Collections"?
No we don't provide wheelie bins or have compactor trucks.
"How Many Trucks Do You Have"?
Four at the time of posting this website.
We Load The Rubbish For You!
We load the rubbish for you and at very reasonable
prices.
We will arrive with the truck, load the lot and the price
includes tip fees &
up to one hours loading time free.
"Can I Pay With My Credit Card"?
No, unfortunately we don't accept credit cards. We
accept cash or cheque at completion
of works. We also accept internet
payments by prior arrangement at the time of booking
the job. (Ask
about this facility at the time of booking the job).
"Do You Provide Monthly Accounts"?
No, unfortunately we don't, our terms are C.O.D (Payment at completion of works).
Restricted Items: (Taken If Separated)
Some items can't be loaded into general waste.
These Items must be separated from general rubbish and are usually
charged separately in addition to the cost of the rubbish load. These items are:
Food stuffs, may only be taken to tipping facilities that accept putrecible waste.
Tyres, may only be taken to centres that accept tyres. (Limit 1 - 3 per visit).
Paints, are becoming increasingly more difficult to dispose of and are charged
on a per tin basis.
Flammables, are only accepted at a few Sydney centres and must be
contained appropriately.
Liquid wastes, must be taken to approved collection centre.
(Including car oil & garden chemicals).
PCB's, (Old Transformers etc.)
Must be booked in prior to work,
taken to approved storage facility and
transported as hazardous material.
Fibreglass insulation, & mineral fibre tiles must be wrapped and are only
accepted at some landfill sites.
Asbestos& Fibro, Each
load removed is allocated EPA or WSN Authority Number.
Asbestos, &
Fibro based materials must be wrapped and taken to approved centres
only.
Wrapping must be heavy grade plastic with taped joints,
completely sealed. Asbestos is a very common and highly dangerous
material.
We strongly advise you not to touch old fibro sheeting unless
you are familiar with the
safe handling and disposal procedures and
have protective clothing, a good quality
respirator type face mask, overalls and gloves.
Do not cut, grind or break any asbestos cement
based products.
Asbestos based material should be hosed down prior to
handling to minimise airborne
fibres. If you have any doubt call a professional.
* Taking chances with asbestos is simply not worth the risk. *
We do accept some of the above wastes by special
arrangement.
If you have any of these items or require further advice
please phone
Mark or Frank and inquire on the easiest method of disposal.
Council Requirements & Parking:
If the truck you require is loading on council property,
(and that includes the
front footpath or verge) you may need to find
out from the local council what
its requirements are for loading. We
can advise you on obtaining council
permits if they are necessary in
your area. If we have to park in a No Standing
or No Parking Zone
to carry out your job and we incur parking fines
as a result, the cost
will be added to your rubbish invoice.
In some places it is virtually
impossible to park during normal business hours,
for example George
Street, Sydney. We carry out work in these locations
after hours,
usually between 10pm & 5am. Ask us for details.
Most Sydney
Councils don't require permits for trucks but do for skip bins.
This
adds to the cost and can often make skip bin prices more expensive.
Difficult Sites:
We specialise in difficult sites and have various
solutions for removing your rubbish,
eg. narrow trucks for residential
driveways, cranes for heavy items and rubbish
chutes for high-rise
buildings.
We are experienced and can advise you on the most efficient
way to handle the job.
Demolition Work:
For a garden fence or a back yard shed to a garage or small building we will show you
the best, cleanest and most efficient way to carry out your demolition job.
We
also strip out commercial buildings,
factories, offices and shops, (at
night or on weekends if necessary).
Deceased Estates:
We specialise in clearing deceased estates and old
houses for vacant possession.
We carry out work for several property
trustees estate administrators.
